About Colleen
My name is Colleen Ohlman and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California. First things first, congrats on taking that first step toward prioritizing your mental health. I know it's not easy, but you're here, so that's a great start!
At Sunny Side Up Therapy, I see clients, remotely via a Telehealth platform that is HIPAA compliant. With a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Professional Counseling, I have been working with clients since 2018 with a holistic approach, and offer individual, couples, parenting and family sessions. I enjoy making meaningful connections with my clients and I truly care deeply about their well-being. My client's happiness means a lot to me and I genuinely feel privileged to be able to hold space for them. I've always loved that phrase: Live the life you love & love the life you live. I believe that achieving that begins with nurturing your mental health. Ignoring your feelings and trying to stuff them down won't work. Trust me. They will manifest themselves negatively in your life until they are acknowledged. Let me be the one to help you acknowledge and explore them, in a safe environment, free from judgment.
On a more personal note, I have been married for over 26 years and I have 3 incredible, adult children who are the light of my life. In session I draw on both my professional training and personal experiences to be able to provide my clients with a human, relatable and empathetic approach. Oh, and don't let me forget our beautiful golden retriever, Duncan! He's the one who really calls the shots in our home ☺️.
If you think I may be the right fit for you, please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about me or the therapeutic process. I look forward to meeting you!
